Common Commercial Door Problems
Springs wear out early
A door that cycles twenty times a day uses up a standard spring in a year or two. Replacement springs can be sized for a higher cycle count, which costs more once and lasts several times longer.
The operator stops or reverses
Commercial operators stop on a blocked photo eye or on the reversing edge along the bottom of the door. A torn edge or a knocked eye keeps the door from closing, and that is usually a part, not a new operator.
A truck or forklift hit the door
A creased section can often be replaced on its own. Bent track has to be straightened or replaced before the door runs again, and the rollers in that run are checked too.

Yes. The opening is measured on site and the door is quoted in a written estimate before anything is ordered.
Is the commercial estimate free?
Yes. Someone comes out, looks at the door and gives you the price. There is no fee for the visit.
Can you put higher-cycle springs on our door?
Yes. Tell us roughly how many times a day the door runs, and the springs are sized for that.
